FORGED LANDSCAPES, a new exhibition in Ross Gallery, will feature work by painter Sharon Dowell and ceramicist Ahmad Sabha. The show will be on view October 3 – November 14, with an opening reception October 10 from 5 – 7.
The industrial, cylindrical ceramics, glazed in appealing colors, sit upon dark gray casted concrete forms. Dowell’s paintings are a bright, organic, vivid contrast, which, through their visual components of maps, streets, and buildings, provide a wonderful visual echo.
These two Charlotte artists have been exhibiting locally and nationally for quite a while. We are thrilled to host them here at CPCC.
If you’d like to learn more about their work, please join us for their artist lectures here on CPCC Central Campus.
