Blood Drive Coming to All Campuses

Did you know that one blood donation can save up to three lives? You have greater powers than you know! Please consider donating blood at the upcoming blood drive on your designated campus this week and next week. Campus-specific drives are listed below. All donors will receive a $20 eGift Card, a OneBlood long-sleeve t-shirt, and a Wellness checkup.

Appointments are strongly encouraged by signing up in advance using the links below. To donate blood, a student must be 16 and over. Students 16 years of age will need a consent form signed by a guardian. Students 17 years of age do not need a consent form.

In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, the Central Piedmont Library, in partnership with the English department, will host “Central Piedmont Reads!”

These discussions, led by faculty and staff, highlight Native American authors and the culture and history of Native American and Indigenous people.

Central Campus Library, in the Parr Center, offers 3D printing, laser engraving and cutting, sewing and embroidery, vinyl cutting, large format printing, and an array of arts and craft supplies to help you get started making. For more information about our Makerspace, check out our guide.

Central Piedmont blood drive was a success

On Thursday, Sept. 15, Central Piedmont hosted a blood drive simultaneously for our entire Central Piedmont community on all six campuses. One Blood, our community partner, is very pleased with the success of the event. They collected from 85 donors which will go on to impact the lives of up to 255 local patients when needed!

OneBlood was able to collect:

  • Central Campus – 15 procedures, 17 products
  • Harper Campus – 11 procedures, 14 products
  • Harris Campus – 6 procedures, 7 products
  • Levine Campus, on the Whole Blood Bus – 24 procedures, 25 products
  • Levine Campus, on the Platelet Bus– l5 procedures, 9 products
  • Merancas Campus – 10 procedures, 12 products
  • Cato Campus – 14 procedures, 15 products

Thank you to everyone who helped donate blood to save lives in our community. Stay tuned for the next blood drive for the opportunity to give again.
