What’s Changing?

Beginning Jan. 16, only approved encrypted USB devices will be allowed on Central Piedmont-managed devices. This new measure is designed to protect sensitive information and prevent potential data breaches.

Key Details

  • Use OneDrive and SharePoint as the primary tools for storing and sharing data. These cloud-based platforms provide secure, accessible solutions that align with our data protection goals.
  • While most students’ needs will be met by OneDrive, approved encrypted USB devices may also be used if necessary.
