Central Piedmont is thrilled to announce a generous gift of approximately 23 acres of land from Hendrick Automotive Group and local business leader Rick Hendrick. This land, adjacent to the Levine Campus, will be used to build a state-of-the-art first responder training facility.
Highlights:
- Long-standing Partnership: This donation continues the partnership that began with the Joe Hendrick Center for Automotive Technology in 2006.
- Comprehensive Training: The new facility will include law enforcement, fire and rescue, EMS, forensics, and telecommunicator training areas, with both indoor and outdoor spaces. Central Piedmont offers a Public Safety Administration associate degree, providing multiple tracks for students to pursue careers in various public safety fields.
- Phased Construction: The first phase opens in 2027, with the second phase following in 2028.
