An Invitation to Create and Connect:
Join fellow students, staff, and faculty for a memorable gathering designed to honor and celebrate the rich heritage and contributions of Black Americans. Whether you’re an experienced artist or picking up a paintbrush for the first time, this event promises an inclusive space for everyone to express themselves.

What to Expect:

  • Artistic Expression: Dive into painting with all supplies and templates provided, ensuring you have everything you need to bring your vision to life.
  • Engaging Conversations: Enjoy open floor discussions on a variety of topics, offering a platform to share insights, experiences, and perspectives.
  • Musical Vibes: Get inspired by a selection of music that complements the creative atmosphere and celebrates Black culture and history.
  • Refreshments on Us: Delight in complimentary snacks and refreshments, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to your afternoon.

Dress for the Occasion:
Remember to wear clothes that you won’t mind getting a little paint on, as creativity can sometimes be a messy process!

Healing from Unhealthy Relationships

Please join the Office of Counseling Services and the Student Equity Council for the “Healing From Unhealthy Relationships” event at Central Campus.

Recognize. Report. Prevent.

 

This event will provide you with information about the differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships and allow you to interact with others and share your experiences. This event is tailored specifically for women and is for Central Piedmont students only. Women of color, LGBTQIA+, and disabled women encouraged to attend.

Join us for games, crafts and a hot chocolate bar. Snacks and refreshments will be provided by the Student Equity Council.

Student Equity Council Meet-and-Greet

The Student Equity Council is doing big things! The student group held a meet and greet to get to know each other, and learned about goals for the 2023-24 school year. These plans include participating in more healing circles around various issues and populations, including race, gender, LGBTQIA+, veterans, accessibility, survivors, and mental health, and are planning collaborations with other student groups.

Lend your voice to help create a more-inclusive, diverse and equitable Central Piedmont. The Student Equity Council (SEC) is looking for new members. The SEC stands as a voice for Central Piedmont students in the areas of policies, procedures and resources as it relates to diversity, inclusion and equity.
