Do I need an appointment?

No appointment is required but recommended, so if you would like to reserve a time slot in advance. Call 704.384.7226. 

Is this covered by insurance?
Mammograms are covered as a preventive screening every 366 days starting at age 40 for most insurance plans. For your convenience, we will file a claim with your insurance provider on your behalf. Please bring your insurance card to the event.

What if my last mammogram was not at a Novant Health facility?
You can still receive a mammogram on our mobile mammography unit. We will contact your previous provider to obtain films from your most recent exam for comparison.

Presbyterian Mobile Center will be on-site in October and CPCC staff and students, ages 40 – 64, are welcome!
WHERE: CPCC Central Campus Quad: October 9 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
CPCC Harris Campus: October 10 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Do I need an appointment? Pre-registration is preferred (however walk-ins are welcome). To schedule an appointment. please call 704.384.7226, press “0” and request mobile.*
* Uninsured women may receive a FREE mammogram. To see if you qualify, please call 704.384.5250 or 704.384.8202. An appointment will be scheduled if you meet all of the requirements.
Is this covered by insurance? Mammograms are covered as a preventive screening each year under most insurance plans beginning at age 40; however, it must be one year since your previous mammogram. Mammograms are covered at 100 percent, without paying a co-pay, if you receive N.C. State Health Plan benefits. For your convenience, we will file a claim with your insurance provider on your behalf.
What if my last mammogram was not at a Presbyterian facility? You can still receive a mammogram on Presbyterian’s Mobile Mammography Unit. Our team will contact your previous provider to obtain films from your most recent mammogram. Past results are necessary to ensure that no changes have occurred in your breast health.
