Bechtler Ensemble Concert Feb. 13

The Bechtler Ensemble will be presenting their next chamber concert on Thursday, February 13 at 12:30 p.m. in Tate Recital Hall.

The concert will have a Valentine’s theme, and the musicians will include CPCC instructors Tanja Bechtler, Adam Watkins, Christine Van Arsdale, and opera singer and former CPCC student, Daidree Tofano.

The concert is free and all are invited.


Free Music Concerts This Week

Come enjoy a rich variety of music during your lunch hours this week:

  • CPCC Early Music Consort will be featuring a glittering array of 16th century music from the field of the cloth of gold – Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 12:30 p.m. in Tate Hall
  • The Bechtler Ensemble will be featuring music from the Italian film “Cinema Paradiso,” a Shostakovich string quartet, and a salute to John Lennon in their Thursday, Nov. 21 concert at 12:30 p.m. in Tate Hall


Bechtler Concert to Feature CPCC Music Department Staff

For the first time since the inception of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art’s Music and Museum series, musicians will perform selections by local and regional composers. On Sunday, October 27, the Bechtler Ensemble presents the New Music concert featuring the works of  Ronald Parks, CPCC’s Craig Bove and John  Allemeier.

This special concert will be conducted by Alan Yamamoto, former resident conductor of the Charlotte Symphony, and include a performance of Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder arranged by Yamamoto and featuring vocals by lyric spinto soprano CPCC’s Rebecca Cook-Carter. Read more.
