The Engineering Technology division at Central Piedmont offer many avenues to engage and enlighten our students with career possibilities.
Featured Employers Series
Central Piedmont’s Engineering Technologies Division hosts employer visits through its annual Featured Employer Series. Local and regional companies are invited to engage and connect with our talented student population via a lunch and learn, class visit, or information table. Hosting a Featured Employer Series session allows you to reach a broader group of candidates during specific days, times, or in front of targeted student populations. You can also participate in our Featured Employer Showcase (details will be posted in 2021).
These events have become very popular with both students, employers, and faculty as an avenue to learn which specific skills and competencies students need for in-demand technical fields. These are not typical recruiting sessions — you are expected to discuss not only open positions, but also company culture, educational requirements, and what a typical day on the job at your company might look like.
We provide a table and demonstration space (if needed), giving you the chance to engage with all students at their leisure. This serves as more of the typical recruiting event, however we do ask that you address company culture, advancement opportunities and required skills needed for success in your organization.
Featured Employers Series Session Requests Form
Please note that in-person events are not permitted at this time. If you wish to reach our students, kindly email Alexis.Frisinger@cpcc.edu for information. Please do submit a request for a Featured Employer Series session, so we are able to follow-up with you once we resume our normal schedules.
Advisory Committees
Each of our ten programs has an advisory committee made up of local industry partners, faculty and staff.
Advisory committees apply their workforce and community-related expertise to the college’s academic and continuing education programs. Their advice and support is indispensable to Central Piedmont’s mission.
Committees help to improve curriculum. They strengthen our connections to our community. And, they ultimately enhance workforce development opportunities for our 70,000 students.
If you wish to join a committee, please visit the individual program page for the program chair contact information.
For information on criteria and expectations for advisory committee members, visit this webpage.
