SGA is looking for senators on all campuses and a treasurer to serve on the executive committee. Apply to join SGA.

SGA senators are students appointed by the Executive Committee to represent the needs and interests of students at their respective campus. Two senators will be appointed per campus and serve as members.

Serve on the 2022-23 SGA Executive Committee (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, or Public Information Officer).

Apply Now! All Central Piedmont students are members of the SGA and are represented by elected student officers. This is your opportunity to become an officer – be involved in the democratic process and create a positive change for yourself and for students across the college.

Students who take on leadership roles in SGA serve as advocates for the student body, make budget recommendations, hear funds requests from student organizations and support programs and activities in Student Engagement. You will have the opportunity to grow as a leader, work with diverse issues and have fun while you’re doing it!

Submit your application today. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 8th at 5 pm. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Working in tandem with Student Life, your new officers are dedicated to the betterment of Central Piedmont and representing your needs and championing your voices. SGA promises to:

  • advocate for the student body
  • take the needs and desires of students and student organizations into consideration
  • serve to discuss any issues and facilitate communication and understanding between student organizations
  • promote fiscal accountability within the SGA and any committee or organization funded by student activity fees

SGA Elections: Cast Your Vote Next Week!

Elections for new officers of the Central Piedmont’s Student Government Association Executive Committee are taking place next week! SGA leaders serve for a full-year term, representing the needs and interests of all students at Central Piedmont. They provide feedback to college administrators and committees, support student organizations with funding and resources, and support the campus SGA Councils in their work on all of Central Piedmont’s campuses, and even in our remote learning environment.

Learn about this year’s SGA  candidates and cast your vote next week! SGA elections are currently being held online September 15 at 8:01am through Sept. 17 at 11:59pm. All positions are elected by the student body (Central Piedmont employees do not vote).

Fall 2020 SGA Elections Are Coming Up

Elections for new officers of the Central Piedmont’s Student Government Association Executive Committee are underway, and all currently enrolled curriculum students are able to cast their vote! SGA leaders serve for a full-year term, representing the needs and interests of all students at Central Piedmont. They provide feedback to college administrators and committees, support student organizations with funding and resources, and support the campus SGA Councils in their work on all of Central Piedmont’s campuses, and even in our remote learning environment.

Candidate information and voting links can be found here. SGA elections will be held online Tuesday, September 8 through Thursday, September 10. All positions are elected by the student body (Central Piedmont employees do not vote).

The Student Government Association is excited to announce that SGA elections are now open! All Central Piedmont students are members of the SGA, and are represented by elected student officers. This is your opportunity to become an officer – be involved in the democratic process and create a positive change for yourself and other students across the college.

Apply now to serve on the 2020–21 SGA Executive Committee (president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, or public information officer). The deadline to apply is Tuesday, August 25. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Students who take on leadership roles in SGA serve as advocates for the student body, make budget recommendations, hear funds requests from student organizations and support programs and activities in Student Life. You will have the opportunity to grow as a leader, work with diverse issues and have fun while you’re doing it!

More information including eligibility requirements and position descriptions can be found on the SGA website. Once you’re familiar with the roles and expectations, complete the application to be considered as a candidate.

Please note, the online election will take place September 8 – 10. All students taking curriculum classes are able to vote!
