About Matthew Whitaker
- Prodigy Turned Professional:Â Born in 2001 in Hackensack, NJ, Matthew Whitaker has dazzled the world with his musical prowess from a young age. At just 15, he became the youngest musician, named a Yamaha Artist, and joined an elite group of jazz pianists.
- Educated in Excellence:Â Whitaker’s foundation in music is solid, having studied classical piano and drums at The Filomen M. D’Agostino Greenberg Music School in NYC. His education continued at The Harlem School of the Arts and through participation in the Jazz House Big Band and the Organ Messengers at Jazz House Kids in Montclair, NJ.
- A Juilliard Graduate:Â His commitment to his craft led him to graduate from the BA Jazz Studies program at Juilliard in New York City in May 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his career.
