Central Piedmont Honors Program Scholars Prepared and Poised for Honors Conference

Central Piedmont’s Truist Honors Scholars presented at the North Carolina Honors Association (NCHA) Conference on a variety of topics that aligned with their personal interests, career interests, and programs of study. Scholars supported one another from abstract development to presentation day to ensure everyone was prepared. The community and camaraderie were a joy to witness!

A huge congratulations to Tiffany Zamora who won the Best Oral Presentation Award for the NCHA 2024 Conference!

One judge’s comments are as follows: “Tiffany’s presentation was fantastic—well-researched, clear, and powerful. She brilliantly balanced the facts of the case she analyzed and clergy sexual misconduct more broadly with a strong theoretical and sociological analysis. Her presentation style was engaging, as she had the audience enraptured with her research and analysis, which were of advanced quality. The Q&A led to rich discussion and more information about Tiffany’s website and advocacy work, and she handled audience questions with confidence and grace. This was an exceptional presentation!!”

Central Piedmont’s Honors Program Living the Theme: Create~Engage~Connect 🎓

Group of graduates in cap and gowns, smiling at the cameraCentral Piedmont’s Honors Program is all about building meaningful connections! Through honors-to-honors (H2H) partnerships, we’re creating new pathways with 4-year colleges and universities and strengthening existing relationships to help students thrive after transferring.

🌟 Exciting News!
Our most recent H2H partnership is with Queen’s University Honors Program! 🎉 One of Central Piedmont’s very own Truist Honors Scholars is already reaping the benefits of this exciting collaboration.

What Does the H2H Partnership Offer?

  • Transfer advantages to help honors scholars seamlessly transition to partner institutions
  • Opportunities to engage in both formal and informal events with students from partner schools
  • Tailored support to make the transition from Central Piedmont’s Honors Program into the partner institution’s honors program as smooth as possible

Each partnership is unique, but they all share a common goal: to help you succeed beyond Central Piedmont!
