Central Piedmont student Katherine Shoe (pictured on the left in the white shirt) represented both the college and the state of North Carolina this past weekend in The National Student Leadership Forum.
Since 1990, the National Student Leadership Forum has been convened by Members of Congress and other prominent U.S. government leaders and invites young people of diverse backgrounds and aspirations to put aside their differences and learn together how to better lead in their spheres of influence.
Focusing on historic leaders, such as Mother Teresa, William Wilberforce, Jesus of Nazareth and Martin Luther King Jr., the Forum addresses and creates valuable discussion around issues such as reconciliation, serving the poor, integrity, purpose and love.
