Last week, new murals by Isaac Payne and Sharon Dowell were unveiled in Concord, NC. The City of Concord commissioned Payne, a CPCC painting instructor, and Dowell, former CPCC Gallery Coodinator and current exhibiting artist, to create mural designs to adorn buildings in Concord’s charming downtown district. Though very different, the two painters’ styles frequently incorporate urban themes and visual elements, a perfect fit for city murals.
