Artist Statement
Films that have impacted my life, graphic novels and music influence my artwork. I also draw upon my own experiences for my artistic influences, especially conversations and questions I ask myself after listing to statements made by friends, families and strangers. Doing this particular artwork made me realize that it is okay to make mistakes, and try to challenge social norms. I want others, who view the artwork to understand it is okay to challenge the world, ask questions and make mistakes.
