Ruth G. Shaw Scholars Program now accepting applications

student looking at laptop in the classroom with central Piedmont face mask onApplications are now available for the 2021-2022 Ruth G. Shaw Scholars Program! The program is limited to 12 women students who will participate in sessions, both with RGS mentors and separately with scholars. For their culminating activity, scholars summarize and highlight their year-long experience through capstone class presentations.

To be eligible, students:

  • must be enrolled in for-college-credit classes for the entirety of the 2021–22 academic year
  • must be able to attend all Ruth G. Shaw Scholar gatherings
  • must be demonstrating successful progress towards degree (must have completed two semesters of coursework at Central Piedmont before fall 2021)
  • have a 2.5 GPA
  • complete the online application and required interview
To apply:
  1. Complete the online application by Sunday, April 25.
  2. Group interviews will be held April 28 – April 30 for invited applicants and will be based on the time and date that the applicant chooses. A confirmation email will be sent to the applicant with the details for the group interview.
