Join Us for a Health and Wellness Fair on Oct. 16

CPCC’s Associate Degree Nursing Program will be hosting a Health and Wellness Fair on October 16, 2018, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., in the Worrell Gym.  Stop by to have your blood pressure checked and learn about resources for improving your personal health and wellness! Wear pink for breast cancer awareness month!  All students are welcome to attend!

Lunch and Learn: The Truth about Beverages

SodaWhat’s healthy or unhealthy to drink? What do we need to consider when choosing our beverages? Energy drinks, sports drinks, tea, coffee and bottled water, are these helping or harming us? How much water do we need to drink daily? Presbyterian Novant Heart and Wellness dietitian Cheryl Kuhta-Sutter will answer these questions at this “Lunch and Learn” presentation sponsored by CPCC Student Life and the Family Resource Center.  Information on how sugar and artificial sweeteners affect our bodies will be provided. Come and learn how to make healthier beverage choices!

“The Truth about Beverages” is part of a series of health and wellness programs offered during the year by Student Life and the Family Resource Center in cooperation with Presbyterian Novant Heart and Wellness.  The topic of the next program will be “Exercise that’s Right for You.”  It is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Central High 301 on the Central Campus.
