Zeiss Building, Room 1106

Did you know that 40% of Kansas State undergraduates are the first in their families to attend college? That’s twice the national average. What would it be like to be the first to navigate your way through the college experience…alone? Over six months, we traveled to the hometowns of five current K-State students and three alumni who are not only the first in their families to graduate from college but are also in education. Their life stories of overcoming challenges, realizing their potential, and giving back are not only inspiring, but instill hope and provide examples for all students.

Reminder – Today is CPCC’s Levine Campus Fall Student Resources Day
Thursday, September 5
Day: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Levine Building II 2nd Floor Foyer

The CPCC Levine Campus “Fall Student Resources Day” (SRD) is an event when the Levine Campus student resources and services (ESS) professionals and other college partners are available to meet students in an open, informal setting outside of the office. There will be free pizza and prizes to attract students and make them feel comfortable while our Student Resources Day personnel provide information and encourage students to make use of the valuable resources and services available at Levine Campus. SRD is an important student success/retention effort designed to promote exchange between our students and us. Our hope is that students will find this information helpful and will also enjoy meeting our staff personally.

Faculty and staff are welcome to join us for refreshments.

Don’t Miss the Library Open House on August 22

This year, Library Open House at Central Campus is on the same day as Student Resources Day—Wednesday, August 22. The event will spotlight major changes in the Library: a new café and laptop bar area on the 1st floor, an entire quiet study area on the 2nd floor, nothing but shelves of library materials on the 3rd floor, and more quiet study areas on the 4th floor next to the Learning Commons. Time of event: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., 4-6 p.m.  There will be giveaways, games, door prize drawings and friendly library staff to greet you.  Mark your calendar right now!
