CPCC Female Students: Attend RISE Sessions This Month

RISE (Resources Inspiring Student Excellence) Conversations and Connections is an opportunity for all female CPCC students to enjoy a free lunch while learning success techniques from seasoned community icons. This month features Ms. Bridget-Anne Hampden, president and CEO of JHR & Associates, LLC, a global management consulting firm specializing in various aspects of strategic planning and leadership development. Ms. Hampden is also a recent retiree from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) where she was responsible for working closely with the COO to coordinate major federal student aid initiatives and advising on strategic issues related to student financial aid programs. Her presentation is about “Life Balance.”

RISE (Resources Inspiring Student Excellence) Conversations and Connections is an opportunity for all female CPCC students to enjoy a free lunch while learning success tips from seasoned CPCC professionals and community icons. This month’s theme is “Money Matters” and features an author, speaker and a strategic consultant – Ms. Pamela Lue-Hing. Representatives from CPCC’s Financial Aid/Veterans Affairs Office will all be available to attendees. Make plans to attend and reserve your seat via email for the specific meeting location.

The RISE (Resources Inspiring Student Excellence) group continues to meet monthly and offers insightful presentations on how to be a successful college student. The meetings are held at the Cato, Central, and Levine campuses for female CPCC students. Lunch is provided to all participants. Female CPCC Students are Invited

Navigating the many resources available at CPCC can be a monumental task. Female CPCC students who are new to the college, considering transferring to a four-year university, graduating soon, or seeking to pass a class are invited to participate in the college’s support program called RISE; an acronym for Resources Inspiring Student Excellence. Benefits of joining RISE include:

  • Enhanced student success through relationship-building and connections to resources
  • Monthly meetings over lunch hosted by the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Services
  • Access to college and community leaders
  • Insightful discussions about topics related to women

Female CPCC students are invited to participate in monthly RISE (Resources Inspiring Student Excellence) meetings on Central Campus this semester.

The next meeting is January 28 at noon and lasts one hour.
