The Welcome Centers at all Central Piedmont campuses remain open 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Dec. 19-22 to help you get registered for spring classes or with other questions! (Evening hours at the Central Campus Welcome Center will not be available that week).

Central Piedmont will be closed for the winter break from Friday, Dec. 23 through Monday, Jan. 2. The college will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023.

The Welcome Centers and the IT Service Desk will also re-open at that time for registration help and technology assistance. You can still register and pay for spring classes online through Jan. 8, 2023, even while the college is closed.

IT service requests can still be created at servicedesk.cpcc.edu. These requests will be processed when the college reopens. If you have questions about Brightspace for a winter session class, you can continue to use the Brightspace 24/7 support even when the college is closed by clicking on the Support heading in the Brightspace navigation bar.

Looking for Online Classes this Summer?

students viewing projector screen while teacher instructsCentral Piedmont is offering several four-week classes online and in-person beginning May 18. Are you looking for an online class this summer?

Classes are taught in multiple formats – online, hybrid, blended, and face-to-face to meet your needs. Hybrid and blended courses combine face-to-face and online course delivery into one class experience. Hybrid courses are taught mostly online while blended courses are mostly taught in-person with some online instruction.

Try taking a new e-hybrid class which are online classes enhanced with a one-day meeting. E-hybrid courses are designed to help students get off to a great start by providing an optional one-day in-person class to ask questions, meet your instructor, connect with your classmates, and receive in-person support before your online course starts.

A complete listing of Summer and Fall 2022 classes, including details such as section, prerequisites, course descriptions, etc., is now available through Student Planning. Log into MyCollege to plan your next class schedule.

Please reach out to our Student Success Navigators by calling 704.330.6100 or emailing navigate@cpcc.edu if you need any enrollment assistance.

Don’t wait – summer classes start May 18!

New FAFSA Rules Make Applying Easier

Good news for students: applying for financial aid just got a little easier! To provide relief to millions of students facing challenges this year, the Department of Education is waiving verification of the 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students are no longer required to verify household size or federal tax filing information. This means when you apply for your FAFSA – the one form that makes you eligible for almost every scholarship and financial aid opportunity – you and your parents will not have to submit tax documents and other forms of verification that could slow down the process.

If you have already submitted your FAFSA, please check your Central Piedmont email to see if you’ve been awarded financial aid.

Some students may still have additional documentation required.  If you have questions, please check with the Financial Aid Office or MyCollege to get the most recent status update on your FAFSA.

Registration and Payment Systems to Temporarily Close June 28 – July 1

Due to year-end processing, the college’s registration and payment systems will close June 28 at noon and re-open on July 1 at 7 a.m. You will not be able to register or pay for classes during those days.

Don’t wait! Finish your registration now to avoid the temporary system closure. Fall registration is open and you can still register for classes online. Our student services teams are available, and our dedicated staff and faculty can assist you with registration and payment questions.
