Levine Campus Navig8tor Program Extended Until Friday, March 21

We have extended the Levine Campus Navig8tor program until Friday, March 21 (Friday of the week following spring break).

NAVIG8TOR is Student Life’s newest student success program, designed solely to get you to the places on our campuses that are critical to your success. Perhaps you’ve heard about free tutoring on our campuses, but don’t know where they are? With NAVIG8TOR, we help you discover those locations, so you can see for yourself how each service can help you. And, a completed NAVIG8TOR card and survey enters you for a chance to win some fabulous prizes – gift cards, electronics and more!

Prizes include Blue Ray DVD Wireless Players, $250 Barnes & Noble College vouchers, Subway Gift Cards, $50 Gas Cards, Blue Tooth Speakers, 1 TB Portable Backup Storage Drives and much more.

CPCC, together with lead sponsor Northwestern Mutual, will present the 17th annual CPCC Charlotte Skyline Run on April 28.

The day’s events will include the Kaye McGarry 5K run, the 5K Walk for Health, a Charlotte Baby Jogger 5K Championship and the child-friendly 1K Charlotte Parent Family Fun Run.

For the first time there will be a kids zone, health & fitness zone, and food zone located in front of the Overcash building. Another first for this event will be the cash prizes for the overall first, second and third place finishers in the 5k run, as well as other prizes to runners. Vendors will be in attendance to discuss and promote everything from weight management to the hottest trends in running gear.

“It’s a fundraiser for student scholarships and other student needs,” said Development Officer for the Institutional Advancement Office, Dick Pahle.

Last year the CPCC Foundation provided more than $1 million in scholarships to 1,249 students. “We’re looking forward to giving away more money to deserving students again this year,” said Executive Director of Services Corporation, Quincy Foil. “This event is an important contributor to the amount of money raised.”

There will also be a shoe collection for Samaritan’s feet. People can bring their gently used shoes to the event and receive a $5 coupon toward a pair of shoes redeemable at Run For Your Life.

The Skyline Run is one of nine races featured in the Run for Your Life “Grand Prix” series.
