Positive Community for Women Invites You to a “Christmas Dance Party!”

Positive Community for Women invites you to their next meeting, “Christmas Dance Party!,” on Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. in Central High, Room 305 on Central Campus.   

The event will include a potluck meal, so if you wish to bring a dish to be shared, email positivecommunityforwomen@cpcc.edu.

The Office Of Mentoring and Bridge is a Valuable Resource

The Office of Mentoring and Bridge staff intentionally changes lives at CPCC by providing a variety of support services and mentoring for students who need assistance getting through college.

Below are the programs we offer:

Communities in College (CIS): A student-led organization that provides you with the support you need to stay in school, engage in meaningful experiences, graduate and achieve goals in life. Open to ALL CPCC students.

·         Service-learning opportunities

MAN UP Program: A Male Mentoring Program providing comprehensive activities that promote personal development, academic improvement and other social and educational advancement needs. Open to ALL CPCC males.

·         Workshops to improve self-confidence and self-esteem

·         Student leadership opportunities

·         Motivation, social skills and career development

·         1:1 academic coaching

Positive Community for Women (PCW): Experience a positive and educational environment where you are empowered and encouraged to improve your life through education and personal growth. Open to ALL CPCC females.

·         Self-care, skill and character building

·         Service-learning

High School Students only: Summer Bridge Programs: Transition from high school to college in a closed, structured and supervised environment. Open to future Charlotte-Mecklenburg School graduates and subject to other eligibility requirements.

·         Make fun memories with new friends

·         Orientation to college, study strategies and student development

·         Receive tutoring and academic support

·         Earn college credit

·         Educational support post-Summer Bridge
