Point, International; and other college officials. Guests took a tour of the college’s newly renovated, $1 million facility and enjoyed dessert and light refreshments.

CPCC’s Cosmetology program welcomed its first class of 28 students in August. Considered a Pivot Point academy, the two-year, associate degree program focuses on delivering a systematic, step-by-step approach to hands-on training. As a result, students are currently learning how to cut and color hair and perform facials, manicures and pedicures. Their training will prepare them to take the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Arts Licensing Exam.
The Center’s new salon features 50 haircutting stations, and will be open to the public year-round, including Saturday hours, beginning Nov. 11. Clients will be encouraged to make appointments.
