Empowerment Summit on April 13

Join us for an inaugural Empowerment Summit, presented by the CPCC Minority Male Mentoring Program, on Friday, April 13 from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Tate Hall on CPCC’s Central Campus. The event will feature a presentation by Harold Empowerment SummitCogdell, chair of the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners, and Kenston Griffin, an international speaker, on “Conquering the Enemy Within.”
Attendees will learn about a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from networking, leadership and activism to strategies for spiritual, personal and professional growth.

Empowerment Summit

The Minority Male Mentoring Program at CPCC invites you to the first annual Empowerment Summit.  This year’s theme is “Conquering the Enemy.”  The summit is designed for high school and college students and will address a broad Minority Male Mentoringspectrum of topics ranging from identity, networking, leadership, activism and strategies for spiritual, personal and professional growth. This event will provide attendees practical recommendations for becoming leaders in their schools and communities. Students will participate in a series of interactive workshops on healthy lifestyles, leadership and self-awareness. The workshops are aimed at motivating young men to become responsible and caring citizens.
