CPCC Barnes and Nobles Bookstores – National Student Day Oct. 3

National Student Day

National Student Day is a day to celebrate students and all of their efforts regarding social responsibility. Students are empowered and are creating change in their communities and on campus through volunteerism and even through random acts of kindness. To celebrate National Student Day on October 3, we will be kicking off a social media sweepstakes in partnership with Habitat for Humanity International.

Students are asked to submit photos via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter which capture social responsibility. Images can be of student’s volunteer activities, student group efforts and more. For each photo that is submitted with the hashtag (#studentsdoinggood) Barnes and Noble College Booksellers will donate $1 to Habitat for Humanity (up to $25,000).

On National Student Day, Oct. 3, Barnes and Noble College Booksellers will announce one winner to receive a B&N gift card.  However, the photos will continue to flow in throughout the year until we reach the $25,000 donation goal! Additionally, on National Student Day, we will be offering a Flash Sale for Students – $10 off regularly priced sweatpants and hoodies – to celebrate.  Make sure you stop in to the Central, Levine, or Cato Campus bookstore on Oct. 3!

Purchasing Textbooks

This is alert you that the Barnes & Noble College at CPCC will begin the process of sending textbooks back to the publishers next week.  What this means is that any textbooks we have extra copies of will no longer be available for you to purchase in the bookstore once we begin returns.

CPCC BookstoreIf you have not purchased your textbooks and need to purchase them for classes – please do so this week as you may risk not having the textbook in stock.

Any class beginning after today will not be affected and the bookstore will have those textbooks for you when the class begins.  This return only applies to textbooks for classes that have already begun and there are no additionally scheduled new classes beginning by the end of spring term.

Thanks for your support and we look to serving you in the future.
