Welcome to the spring 2020 semester!

Thank you for using your Central Piedmont e-mail account; it is the official means of college communication to you, so please check your account often.

As we gear up for the spring 2020 semester, we want to share some important reminders to help you during the first week of class. Remember, Central Piedmont is a tobacco-free college. All tobacco products (including anything resembling tobacco products, such as e-cigarettes) are not allowed anywhere at all times. Thanks for your cooperation.

Please note there are still construction projects going on around Central Piedmont’s campuses, so please follow all construction signs: Be alert and watch out around you. Consider removing earbuds and headphones while on campus walkways and when crossing the street.

Here are the top five things you really need to know to be prepared for the new semester:

1. Attend class on the first day.

Download the Central Piedmont app and use your Central Piedmont login to view your class schedule from My College (or go to My College to print your schedule). Bring a copy of your class schedule to ensure that the location has not changed. Pay attention to both the campus and building names for your classes. Look for information tables on campus to help you locate your classrooms or answer questions. PLEASE NOTE: Tuesday, Jan. 14  is the last day to add a full semester class without permission. Another twelve-week session begins Monday, Feb. 12, and the second eight-week short session begins Monday, March 16. Check My College for course availability.

  • CENTRAL CAMPUS LIBRARY: The Library has moved across the quad (to 1241 Charlottetowne Ave.) to make way for construction of the new Central Campus Library and Student Success Center.
  • NORTH CLASSROOM BUILDING: Located on the quad between Giles and the Library, the new North Classroom Building is open and ready to welcome students.

2. Use your Central Piedmont Login to access My College.

Access My College to find important information, such as your class schedule; residency status; priority registration dates; enrollment verification; critical alert information; your student ID number; and much more! Student IDs can be made at any Central Piedmont campus.

3. Pay your tuition the same day you register to avoid being dropped from your classes.

Payment is due the day of registration. For payment information (including rates, fees, and dates), visit Central Piedmont Cashiering. Log into My College to view your spring 2020 tuition bill.

4. Get your student ID.

You will need your student ID to check out materials from the Library, use the testing and fitness centers, or access the computer labs on campus. Student Identification Card information is available online and ID cards can be made at all campuses.

5. Read Central Piedmont Today.

Central Piedmont Today is your student e-newsletter sent to your college email every Wednesday, or read it via the Central Piedmont app. Central Piedmont Today covers a wide range of useful information from registration, parking, and payment to important dates and events.

We are here to help you, and we are ready to help you reach your academic goals. If you have any questions, call the Central Piedmont Information Center at 704.330.2722 or visit the Student Success Center at any campus.
