You’re Invited to Hear Harvard University Professor Discuss Today’s Economy in the Halton Theater on Feb. 27

The Central Piedmont Community College Economics Department invites faculty, staff and students to attend a presentation by Dr. N. Gregory Mankiw, the Robert M. Beren Professor of Economics at Harvard University, in the Halton Theater, on February 27, at 10 a.m. Dr. Mankiw will discuss the current state of today’s economy. The event is FREE to Central Piedmont faculty, staff and students with a college I.D.

Dr. Mankiw is a prolific writer and a regular participant in academic and policy debates. His research includes work on price adjustment, consumer behavior, financial markets, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic growth. His published articles have appeared in academic journals, and in more widely accessible forums, such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.

In addition to his teaching, research, and writing, Professor Mankiw has been a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, an adviser to the Congressional Budget Office and the Federal Reserve Banks of Boston and New York. From 2003 to 2005 he served as Chairman of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers.
