“Exploring the History and Current State of Hate and Extremism in the South”

Join special guest Lecia Brooks, Outreach Director with the Southern Poverty Law Center, for a presentation about the history and rise of hate and extremism, with particular focus on North Carolina. Her discussion will include recent data collected by the Center, an overview of hate crime incidents, and an overview and discussion of countercultures and hate groups, whose numbers and efforts have risen dramatically in recent years.
