The Road to Sustainability Yesterday’s Waste, Sustainability Today, Tomorrow’s Fruits

Where does this Road to Sustainability Start, and what are its long term benefits? How will it affect our quality of life? Waste that once made its home in our landfills is now being composted and used to heal our soils. Healthier soils mean fewer chemicals are needed for the growth of the crops which sustain us. This healthier soil and organic farming is in turn healing our bodies naturally.
Back by popular demand, Jim Lanier of Earth Farm Organics/Stanley Environmental, will lead a panel discussion on how to compost and the benefits in organics. The expertise will cover composting for institutions, business, industries and government facilities. Others on the panel will be Nadine Ford from Mecklenburg County’s Wipe Out Waste program and Corrine Lewis, a Certified Nutritional Advisor and Certified Family Herbalist. With this experience on the panel it is sure to sell out quick! This interactive program will provide valuable insight to anyone looking to start a composting program or start an organic lifestyle.
