Q. I have a smart pen, but I am still having some difficulties using it. Is there technology training for students with a disability?
A. “Introduction to Assistive Technology” training is held at the Central Campus every first, second, and fourth Friday from 10 -10:45 a.m. in Terrell, Room 201 and every third Friday at Levine Campus, Room 2218 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. Along with demonstrations, there will be a review of assistive technology software and devices such as the screen reader JAWS and the magnifier software ZoomText and a few others. The protocol for requesting textbooks in an alternative format will also be discussed. You will learn about new software and assistive technology resources.
