Important Financial Aid Reminder

Financial Aid recipients who withdraw or stop attending class before the 60 percent point of each term may have to repay awarded aid!  The U.S. Department of Education mandates that students EARN their federal aid by remaining enrolled and attending class through the 60 percent point of each term.  The U.S. Department of Education “prorates” financial aid eligibility based on enrollment and attendance records.

Please remain enrolled in your CPCC classes to avoid having to repay your financial aid to CPCC or to the U.S. Department of Education.  Students who have an outstanding federal aid balance may become ineligible for future aid.

The 60 percent dates for the Spring 2012 term are:

  • March 12 – Full Term
  • February 9 – 1st Short Session
  • April 16 – 2nd Short Session

  1. I was not allowed to withdraw from CTI 110. I was told it was too late at the 60% point.
